Getting out and exploring your surroundings can always be relaxing. Here are a couple shots I took this past weekend. Enjoy…..
I had the opportunity to hang out at Snail Performance’s shop which is located in Glendale Arizona. Aesthetically you can find items in the front office that you would need to run a typically performance shop. A nice display counter, some catalogs, computer and printer set up, blah blah blah RIGHT. Pretty obvious, but what makes this shop unique are the individuals involved. If you kept up with Global Time Attack you might see some of their cars flying by on the tarmac. DO NOT SLEEP on Snail Performance because you just might not see them (yeah that fast). While at the shop I was able to pick Taylor’s *Snailperformancetaylor* brain a bit about this upcoming race season. During the visit I witness Taylor conduct business and listen to his customers needs while providing professional opinions on certain products. During that I moved on to Taylor’s SHOWKAR (GR) undergoing open heart surgery, its contents spread out on a table in front of the chassis. The shop is pretty awesome, lets check it out.
FittedMedia: So is it hard seeing your car in pieces like that?
Taylor: Yeah it is, but its part of the game something is bound to brake. Hopefully I can get the car back together soon for Global.
FittedMedia: That’s awesome, I hope you guys can get her up in time. How does this type of race experience reflect on the shop?
Taylor: We break our cars pushing the limits so we can better make recommendations to our customers
FittedMedia: Lol I’m sure the customers would appreciate you breaking your stuff and not theirs. How does it feel to finally team up with a brand like RAYS?
Taylor: It’s extremely humbling and gratifying on multiple levels. First to have Mackin Industries and Rays acknowledge our efforts in racing and business, also all of the people in our network that spoke on the behalf of our team. To have them vouch that a partnership with Snail would compliment Rays Engineering is great.
FittedMedia: Wow man that’s awesome news I’m glad to see SnailPerformance get some recognition in the Motor Sports Industry
After our little chit chat me and Taylor roamed the back of the shop where all of the magic takes place. There I ran into Rich *RAWORX* the shops head mechanic, he was very busy with a customers motor. Looks like an EJ257 block or it could just be a EJ255 regardless it was a Subaru motor. I stood off to the side so I didn’t disturb him, there isn’t anything more annoying than a guy pointing a camera all in your face while you work. I didn’t want him to have a Yeezy moment and break my camera gear so I kept my distance hahahaha.
All in all everything that Rich touched seemed to be golden. The attention to detail is very high with this guy, this is where OCD is your friend. Someone like me would appreciate his detail orientate approached. I’m glad I came at this time, I had my oldest son Jaleel tag along for the visit. This kid was beyond excited to see Rich at work. The simple things in life that make kids (and grown men) happy.
After our trip one thing stayed consistent, Snail Performance main objective is be the best at any and everything they are involved in. That type of “1st Place or Bust” attitude has rubbed off on not just myself, but any individual that comes across them. Taylor also informed me that they have a second location in Sacramento California. Snail Performance is an Licensed COBB Pro-Tuner for Subaru, GTR, Ford, BMW, and Mazda. Travis *Snailperformance* heads the tuning department for Snail Performance and Taylor often makes trips to Sac Town to help expand the brand. Travis also sports a Black Bugeye STI (GDA). I would like to also mention the Snail Performance power couple Markos *Snailperformancemarkos* who drives the Silver WRX (GDB) and Sally *Snailperformancesally* pilots the Blue WRX (GDB). Catch Snail Performance this weekend at Road Atlanta for Global Time Attack. If you own a Subaru or enjoy time attack events I strongly suggest you check out Snail Performance as they embark on their 2015 race season.

Gearing up for Formula Drift Long Beach has always been a journey. Planning travel time and meeting locations can get sort of hectic when you have several individuals involved, but it’s always worth it to come together and hang out with friends and family. Me and my family travelled from Arizona earlier that week, we stayed with family in Southern California. The anticipation of the event had me more giddy than a school girl having her first sleep over. Nevertheless we still had to compose ourselves and start our journey to downtown Long Beach. First stop was at my friends George and Justin’s house. George *Georgeasorous_wfc* owns a 91 240sx and Justin *DJ_jayone* owns the cream 02 AP1 S2000, Jon Jon *Static_e60* has the white 09 E60. Me and Rob *Robthisbaus_wfc* rode in our unclassified spaceship (Secrets) lol. After meeting up and arguing a bit (what we normally do) the testosterone wore off and we started head to Long Beach.
For some strange reason we found flat rate parking that allowed us to park our cars there all day for $5.00. That never happens in LA.
After we paid for parking, I called up my long time friend Josh *Grippy_wfc* to meet up with him, his wife Jenna, and our other Justin *Kazuo_wfc* at Rock Bottom Restaurant. So we started to mob through Long Beach having laughs and cracking jokes on each other.
Whoa! On our stroll to the restaurant we spotted a couple clean Nissans. The red 180 S13 seemed to be well equipped for street duty, but as soon as I was done drooling over this clean S13 I turned my attention to the white S15 Silvia. This Silvia was mild in appearance but the owner of this car couldn’t hide the massive intercooler, makes one wonder how many ponies this car had trapped under the hood.
Lucky for us there was no wait time, Josh had grabbed us a table. This restaurant also brewed its own beer, and if you know anything about WrongFitmentCrew you would know WE LOVE BEER. After everyone greeted each other we sat down and enjoyed great food, beer, and Southern California weather.
Now that our stomachs had been supplied with burgers and beers we walked back to the cars to start heading in for Offset Kings.
Now that we had made our way to the main entrance to OK the excitement started to really build up. Not only to see friends I haven’t seen in a while but also to know I was going to be right back here tomorrow basking in burnt rubber lol.
Rob and Tucker checking out some photos.
Rob is a man of many talents as seen here posing on Georges 240 lol.
Friday night went as planned had a great time hanging out with the homies. Plenty of laughs and more memories to reflect on. Now that Saturday morning is here, first order of business was breakfast and there is no other place around that could beat Roscoe’s. So of course it was everyone’s number 1 choice. My wife Jay has been to Roscoe’s with me several times before but this was my sons first time. Lets just say Roscoe’s did not disappoint Eli.
Justin was a bit upset with me because I was talking trash about the San Francisco Giants cap! I mean what did he expect I’m a Dodger fan. *Yeezy Shrug*
After breakfast it was time to enjoy the event. This year seems to be one of the best FDLB yet.
I LOVE SPARCO PRODUCTS!!!!
Get Nuts Laboratory’s S14.5 this thing is bananas!
Daigo Saito plotting, you know that thing Ninjas do.
Vaugh Gittin Jr always a great sport meeting with his fans and signing merchandise.
Hert and company up to no good hahahaha.
Masashi Yokoi talking about his S15 to a couple fans at the Yokohama Pit. This guy does mad work and it doesn’t seem fitting to call him a ROOKIE, but he actually is a FD newcomer this year. Please do your homework on Mr.Yokoi he is not new drifting.
Eli had the opportunity to sit in Mats Baribeau’s Mark II.
Of course I couldn’t leave out FDLB 2015 winner Fredric Aasbo and his TC.

I had the opportunity to attend RC’s Garage first annual BBQ. RC’s is located in Phoenix Arizona, and after I moved here I didn’t think much about the Honda community here. Coming from Southern California I thought that I wouldn’t come across any clean Hondas. To my doubtful closed mind thinking. RC’s event opened my eyes and cheered me up in a way only real Honda enthusiast could understand. ICB is also based out here in the Phoenix area and it seemed as if ICB had their approved stamp on every Honda. Matt (ICB) used to be located in Temple City, so coming from Southern California I know anything that ICB endorse will be nothing but he best and offer only high quality items. Seeing that most of the cars had dealings with ICB you can see that this directly translated over to the cars and their very clean appearance. The event was very upbeat and had tons of positive vibes. There are plenty to see blow and other cars are included for FREE.99 lol. Enjoy.
