Day to Day we either commute to work, or work hard at school studying away to ace the next midterm. Its very easy to get stuck in everyday life, sometimes you just need to get out and enjoy nature. I was with my family when we decided to do just that. My wife’s family lives inĀ Forest Falls, Cali which is just south of San Bernardino National Forest. The time spent here was wonderful and refreshing. The joy of hearing birds chirping, small creatures rustle through the leaves and the ability to breath in fresh air was awesome. So if you are trapped in a study group and need a break or just arrived home from a long day at the office. Take some time and escape with these photos.
A name you have probably heard of but never understood, MOONEYES. Dedicated to the life, love, music & cars every year this meet is anticipated by many and attended by all. From hot rods to rat rods, Harley to triumph it was all here. Bagged and static was not a foreign concept to these people as they understood exactly what REAL fitment is all about. Being a part of this event and experience was mind blowing because of the craftsmanship these people put into their cars. Many of you stance heads can relate to many of them because of blood, sweat and tears you put into your personal builds. As you scroll down this immense selection of photography try and pay mind to the small things because every time I walked around to see the cars/bikes I found something new every pass. From pennies to welds, rosaries to serapes (Mexican blanket) the culture lives and breathes through their mind, souls and bodies.
We are used to such things as trailer queens, but that didn’t exist today. all race cars and gassers were DRIVEN to and from the meet. Feeling the rumble in my chest was an unforgettable experience and I wish you could have been there with me. But for now all I can say is if you ever get a chance to be a part of something like this, take it because you wont be disappointed.
“hey camera guy!” is where my day got interesting and made some new friends. Being introduced left and right to new people and getting up close and personal with the loves of their lives, the cars. This select group of people reminded me a lot of WFC in the simple fact that they go to shows, chill with fam along with possible consumption of adult beverage. “as long as your cool and about good vibes your more then welcome to hang with us” This quote to me is what the automobile world has always been about but of course over the years like everything else it gets mangled and twisted until its sadly forgotten.
I was told by a few of these guys that this is all they know, they don’t have friends or homies. All they have is family and wouldn’t want it any other way. Working 40+ hours a week for the dough to go straight to the ride. Familiar eh? those of you reading this are probably nodding your heads in agreement. But I could ramble about this all day, for now I just want you to feast your eyes on some raw, graphic automobile and motorcycle content that should only be done sitting down because possible passing out may occur.
